Sitting on one of the couches in the Sodeco Square branch of Café Younes, it is easy to be amazed by what is going on: businessmen on a quick lunch break, older women meeting for an afternoon coffee, students studying or wasting time, young professionals working actively from their laptops. The place is bustling with life.
This is an example of how quickly Café Younes can become part of the community. As such, since it opened in 2009, the Sodeco branch took on the personality of its customers: a bit older, a bit richer, a bit more corporate, a bit more spacious. Yet it seemed like it had always been there, and people just naturally found themselves in their “neighborhood café.”
The coffee shop has table service and a kids meal. It became a favorite hangout for parents dropping off their children at the nearby children’s store, for friends waiting to go see the latest blockbuster in the nearby movie theater, or even for people finalizing their visa application for the French embassy in the building.
